    TTA CONFERENCE 2009 SCHEDULE
Details regarding names of shows and other information still to be finalized

    President's Welcome:

Welcome to the annual conference for the Tennessee theatre Association, the one time every year that we get together to celebrate the accomplishments and endeavors of all types of theatre across the volunteer state. It is also an opportunity to network and discuss trends, trials, and successes we have had throughout the year in our respective "pockets of culture".

Thanks to Melissa Shafer and her work in organizing a successful, well-rounded conference with something for everyone. I would also like to thank the city of Cookeville, Mark Creter at Tennessee Technological University, and Charles Long of the Wesley Foundation Arena Theatre, for their hospitality and facility usage during the conference.

Finally, I encourage you to meet new people, be open to new ideas, and recommit your self to the craft. While theatre and dance are the only art forms to fade the moment they are created, their inspiration can move others to do great things. I challenge you to do great things as well!

    Chad McDonald, President
    Tennessee Theatre Association
    Cultural Arts Superintendent
